About the Founder

Ashish Khetan


Hi, I am Ashish. I made a career shift into wealth management in the late 90s, after spending my formative years in corporate finance. I like to describe my well-over-two-decades journey in wealth management as a tale of two contrasting halves. I remember one half fondly, where I spent my time helping individuals (mostly the ultra-rich) plan their investments and pioneering the family office and advisory practice for a large wealth management firm. The other half, which I remember not so fondly, was spent motivating wealth managers to sell products and partly trying to build client-centric back-end platforms.

If the one half gave me a lot of joy and fulfillment, the other half gave me perspective on what not to do as a wealth manager. It also bought with it a great deal of unease with the industry and restlessness to do something about it. Which eventually led me to take the plunge into entrepreneurship.

My peers know me as a maverick who is known to challenge the status quo and is obsessed with customer-centricity. In my view, in the business of wealth management, customer-centricity is not a choice, it is actually the starting point. Also, I believe that it is indeed feasible to build a profitable & scalable business model without abandoning the plank of customer-centricity.

I want to draw like-minded wealth managers who are just chugging along in the top-down, sales-driven firms to Serenity and work together to build a bottom-up, advice-driven wealth practice.

Akash Rathi

I am a B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering (now DTU). Post, which I did a stint of 3 years with Bajaj Auto in their Engineering division. I have always been fascinated by finance & data analytics, so I decided to take up a 2-year course with the Department of Financial Studies at Delhi University. That is where I met Ashish, a fellow alumnus who was looking for interns for his wealth management start-up. The internship has now morphed into a wonderful association. I am responsible for product development, analytics & market research.

Tanya Singh

I have been a student of ancient history and corporate communications. My interest in the world of finance & money got piqued when I read about the history of money. And I was always keen to work with a start-up. In Ashish & Serenity Wealth, I found the ideal combination of using my communication skills for a wealth start-up and a work environment that allowed me to test the limits of my creative thinking. I am responsible for marketing and communication.

Yash Khanna CFP CM Msc in Applied Finance

An Investment and Portfolio Professional with around 4 years of experience managing affluent HNI, HNI, and UHNI clients. I have worked with notable companies like Dezerv Investments, Naikwealth Pvt Ltd, where I have honed my skills in asset allocation, portfolio management, and risk assessment. My extensive experience across different industries has given me a holistic understanding of the business landscape and the ability to provide comprehensive financial advice. Serenity’s values of compassion and transparency towards clients stood out to me as a refreshing departure from the typical sales-driven culture of the industry. I am responsible for Investments and client relations.
